Elven Chain +1?

First Post
This is more just an opinion question than anything, I suppose... I'm working on a d20 product that I'm planning on eventually selling in PDF form, and I was wondering if it was technically SRD-compliant to put a plus on elven chain. If not, is that the sort of thing that would bother people?

The reason I ask is that I'm trying to stick as close to the SRD as possible, for the purpose of balance and the like.

Why not ???

Right. And remember: Mithral armor is always considered masterwork so you don't have to add a masterwork component to the cost.

In 2nd Edition elven chain could not be enchanted....

Huh?

Yes, it could. It had a +1000 XP to the 'value' but it could be enchanted just as any other armor the DMG.

Refer to page 139 and 182 of the revised 1989 edition of the AD&D 2ed DMG.

Like drunkmoogle said, it is made of a different metal

The 2ed does not mention anywhere (that I can readily find) that elven chain is made of mithral, and nor is it (in 2ed that is) IIRC (it certainly isn't mentioned in the DMG).

It could be enchanted in 2ed, only in 1st was it a unique armor.
