D&D 5E Dwarf Ruins/Dungeon

Gilladian

Adventurer
I'm hastily searching for a good adventure to use with my approximately 4th level group - something that can take place in/around/under a set of dwarven city ruins. The bigger and longer the adventure the better!

My campaign took a sort of a left-turn today, and I don't have anything prepped for this region of the campaign world. The PCs have no expectations of what they'll find...

I would be happiest with a good sized dungeon, but anything will work. Any suggestions?

Forge of Fury in the new Tales from the Yawning Portal takes place in a ruined dwarven city and is meant for PCs levels 3-5.

I posted a few adventures about Southcrypt from FR on DMsGuild. They are for 4-6th level. Each are not that long, but can connect together and there are places where you can expand on the dwarf hold. Hope that helps

Apologies, here are the three based in Southcrypt.

I am currently playing Forge of Fury so I can second DEFCON 1's suggestion.

I am also currently DMing the Southcrypt series so I can second aco175's suggestion. There are 3 Southcrypt Adventures available for download from the DM's Guild. Just type in "Southcrypt" on Search and you will see all 3 titles.

*EDIT: aco175 beat me to the link

Thanks, all! I think several of these folks played through Forge of Fury in 3.x days... but I wonder if they'd remember it? And I could always make some quick changes. Leave out the (highly memorable and deadly) roper, change the monster in the very depths out for something a little different, and maybe a few other details.

I'll go look at the Southcrypt stuff RIGHT NOW!

The Mines of Moria might be a bit much to wrap my head around, right now... but wow, it does look interesting.

I had a blast running AD&D Dragon Mountain back in 4e, and it would be a snap to convert the kobolds and traps to 5e. Would make for a dangerous adventure for 4th level PCs, but it is one big honkin' dungeon!
