Druid spells without vocal or material components

Hello,
So my 3rd level party just bagged and gagged the baddy, and have him as a prisoner. They plan to interrogate him next play session. Since they forgot to bind his fingers, I'd love to surprise them by him busting out a spell.
He is a Spirit Shaman, so he might be left conscious long enough to meditate for spells.

If he gets the chance, what spells should he ask the spirits for?

Surprisingly little. Here's what I was able to find, checking up to 3rd level spells.

0th level spells:

Naturewatch - Complete Divine

1st level spells:

Eyes of the Avoral - Book of Exalted Deeds
Hide from Animals - Player's Handbook (Requires divine focus though)
Impede Sun's Brilliance - Sandstorm

Just curious, but is it only his fingers they left free but they bound his hands?

A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You must have at least one hand free to provide a somatic component.
I know my table would get quite upset if the guy we had successfully captured and bound was able to cast spells because 'we forgot to bind his fingers'.

I could also see it easily leading to the slippery slope of both the players and the DM getting into an arms race of trying to think of and get around every possibility and contingency for every encounter.

Yup, good point. I just want to be able to do something if they let him have a free hand at any stage, to keep them on their toes.
Thanks a lot

The worst and most annoying arms races I have ever got into were in the security systems involved in buying magic items. That kind of thing can get really annoying

Aren't bound characters considered Helpless?

[h=2]Helpless[/h]A helpless character is paralyzed, held, bound, sleeping, unconscious, or otherwise completely at an opponent’s mercy. A helpless target is treated as having a Dexterity of 0 (-5 modifier). Melee attacks against a helpless target get a +4 bonus (equivalent to attacking a prone target). Ranged attacks gets no special bonus against helpless targets. Rogues can sneak attack helpless targets.

[...]

As for security, it doesn't get much better than the "nonlethal coma": Thwack your detainee with nonlethal damage (usually from a sap) until he gets KO'd, then keep him unconscious by repeatedly striking him with nonlethal damage. If your enemy isn't conscious, he can't take actions and isn't aware of his surroundings, which makes escape rather difficult. If you have some way to forcefeed your detainee in his sleep (saving you the cost of a Ring of Sustenance), all the better.
