Dragon Egg Values?

I've checked various resources, and the only thing I've found is an older reference to "half the subdual value" in old AD&D.

Any ideas on a good ballpark figure?

hmm, it's a good question, and i wish i had an answer for you. a lookup in the ol' first edition monster manual should provide rules (i think) on how to "subdue" a dragon, IIRC.

well on some page or other i readfy that a red dragon egg is worth 2000 gold.

i think its the last spell.

probably up or down 100 gp per cr of the wyrmling the dragon is based off of sounds reasonable. (Figuring that a more powerful dragon egg is tougher to get and thus more valuable.)
