Humor has been a large part of the reason I have enjoyed The Dragon over the years. Yes, I enjoyed the April Fools articles (at least the good ones).

Of course, the humor I have enjoyed the most are the comics. Some of the one panel jokes still stick in my memory, but the series are dearest to my heart.

Which comic series do you remember with fondness? I have included every series that ran at least 12 issues in the magazine.

(Remember, you can vote for as many as you like.)

BTW, my favorite line from all the series is "Shut up Fred! You're still unconscious." (form the "Goblins & Grottos" episode of Wormy.

Man, the size of that list really shows off how many great ones there have been over the years.

I voted for a bunch of faves, but Wormy is definitely at the top of the list.

allo

first, my runner-ups:

snarfquest- i loved it at first, but after awhile, i really started to dislike the selfish snarf character.
what's new- incredibly inconsistent. often brilliant and hilarious, other times not funny at all.
yamara- started off excellent, but turned into a strange soap-opera. also, the frames were often too crammed.
zogonia and mount zogon- always seems it should be funnier. not sure why.

next, my favorites:

knights of the dinner table- brilliant and hilarious.
nodwick- also brilliant and hilarious.
order of the stick- possibly even more brilliant that kodt and nodwick.

and, my absolute favorite:

wormy- fantastic humor, action, poetry, mystery, and magic.

messy
