It's pretty much impossible to answer that question in a vacuum. If you MC'd to wizard in order to get bladesinger, then I guess doing so would be a good idea. 
Mostly, though, you should play the character you want to play. Does bladesinger sound cool and fit your concept? If yes, go for it.
