Does anyone know which book this item is from?

Question

Its a elven courtblade that can be transformed into a composite longbow as a free action, and vice-versa, and you can enchant either type of weapon as a seperate weapon.

Also does anyone know which book the "bane : servant of lolth" weapon ability is from?

Not exactly what you described, but there is the 'Bow, Elvencraft' in the Races of the Wild. It's a longbow that can be wielded as a club in melee. With it you 'can freely interchange melee and ranged attacks during the same round.' Coincidentally, it is listed on the same page as the Courtblade description...so whomever told you about this may have garbled the intent.

That said, there may be a weapon like you describe in some other source book.

No idea on 'bane: servant of Lolth' weapon ability, but it could be in one of the Divine or Deities books.

Thanks,
Rich

No, the "correctest" answer is that Thanee has guessed accurately, but Sithobi1 was also kind of correct (in that there's no lightblade/thinblade/courtblade versions), and I'm absolutely certain of the answer :D

The weapon in question is a specific magic weapon called the swordbow. It's found on page 171 of the Races of the Wild. There are three types of swordbow: light swordbow (shortsword/rapier), swordbow (longsword/longbow), and great swordbow (greatsword/composite longbow).

I don't think changing the swordblade to use elven rapier-like weapons instead of standard swords would be unbalanced.
