I saw a few people stating a Death Domain cleric couldn't be anything but evil stating because it was in the DMG and some of the flavor text seemed to say it was only for evil clerics. However those people missed the very same DMG saying a cleric of the Raven Queen could be LN and take Death Domain. Thus, death domain not only for evil clerics.

I am pretty sure clerics don't have to be the same alignment as their god in 5e (maybe they do in AL? I haven't played in it.).
5e is rulings over rules, so it is pretty much a DM thing whether a) DD clerics are automatically evil, and b) whether players can play one. I am pretty sure that it being in the DMG is primarily to make b) RAI.

In the Forgotten Realms, I believe Kelemvor is another LN death god. The death domain is definitely not only for evil clerics, though undeath might be a different story, depending on the campaign.
Of course, if it's a homebrew, or the DM wants to change things, that's another story.

Yeah but I saw a lot of people trying to say that because Death Domain was in the DMG and it was a option for evil clerics that only evil clerics could take it. Now the abilities are a little more evil and dark but honestly in 5e it seems you can still use such abilities for a good/neutral purpose and yes, Kelemvor, WeeJas, Raven Queen and other neutral Death Domain gods are out there. I'm playing a LN Death Domain cleric in a "Gangs of New York" style game. I'm unsure what race he will be. The Gods are going to be more real world Gods and religions, including pagan ones.

NO idea. Death Domain should be just like those pacts, its how you use your powers and the exact type of Death God you ally with if you're evil. I mean if you follow Mrykul, that dude is very evil. A God of UNdeath would be evil. But just a God of Death? Death comes to everyone. Its LN as hell. Death should be an accountant who is this little dork and no one takes him seriously till you make him angry then he becomes the reaper and drags you off lol
