Deadpool 3 Monster Opening?

Last couple of years I have been following the box office results over on r/boxoffice. I also watch this guy.

He uses Variety, Deadline, Hollywood Reporter and has interviewed Feige so he's not some chud ranting and raving for context. Used to work for Collider.

Recently there's been some hits with the latest Bad Boys and Inside Out 2.

Anyway early tracking has Deadpool 3 on track for monster numbers. As in top 5 opening weekend type big. And that may be a conservative estimate. But we will see.

I don't think the super hero genre is dead but has taken one hits. Generally I don't get to excited about them anyway. Deadpool is alright to me I liked it but it's a super hero movie so I don't care that much. I'll probably watch it later. The box office result I do find interesting however.

So what ate your thoughts on the potential box office. It's probably a hit no matter what but how much of a hit is open for debate. Industry needs a win.

If you prefer writing. 200-239 million may be conservative.

Given it's R-rated I'd be very surprised if he was correct.

If he is, and it's that successful despite being R-rated, I'd expect a hell of a lot more R-rated movies over the next decade.

Personally I'm not hearing a lot of excited chatter about it, unlike the previous two, but maybe that's just me.

There's only been 1 R rated billion dollar+ movie. Deadpool got 700+ apparently.
