So the D4. The venerable foot killer/caltrop of the classic/iconic D20 set. We know it's shape, curse it out if we step on it accidentally, and bemoan the fact that it doesn't roll good. Due to these proven facts, others heard the peoples' cry and came up with quite a number of variants/styles out there.
I have thought about getting a set of one such variant to stand in for all future D4 usage. But a lot of people seem to be of mixed opinions about it. So I am curious, fellow posters of ENWorld on what your thoughts are? Have you stuck by that accursed pyramid time and time again? Or did you personally sought out different options?
Part of me seems to be leaning towards the Triple 4 style. A number on reddit or else where seems to swear by 4/6.
Personally, I've kinda dug the one D4 styel Kraken Dice was doing for a number of their sets sometimes ago. It was the pyramid style of D4, but the points were flat and they ACTUALLY had the number on the top of the flat groove where the point would be on some of them. They seemed to have stopped that style though.
