d20 on a Craps Table

First Post
Was playing craps the other day when I thought it would be amusing to throw a d20 on the table, and yell HA 13 I get all the chips on the table ! or some such nosense.

Then i got thinking Craps could use a make over with a few other dice hehehe.

I mean sure rolling the hard ways is fun and all, but rolling a 20 on a d20 is just fricken sweet.

Perhaps could make a Craps based version styled from D&D combat.

Come out Roll 1 d20 plus d4, d6, d8 or d12, depending on your class i.e. where you chips are on the table Rolling a 1 on the d20 is crapping out etc etc

Heh just a random thought with not much meat.

I actually came up with an amusing game a couple years ago which I call Crapjack.

Every player starts with the standard set of 7 polyhedral dice (D4/6/8/10/12/20/100), and everybody rolls, and the first to get the highest under 22 (e.g. 21 in one roll of D100 would trump all other rolls) wins. We tried all sorts of betting schemes, and pretty much anything works.

Overall, it's a pretty fun game, but simple knowledge of statistics and probability make it a little too easy to manipulate.

If I was going to make it into a 'real' game, I'd eliminate the D20, D4, D10, and D100, to make it a little more luck-driven.

I suspect that would be a good way to get thrown out of a casino.

Those people have no senses of humor...

And, yet, they call it "gaming". ;)

That's always annoyed the hell out of me.

Gambling may be a form of gaming (and, frankly, not a particular interesting form of it at that!) but gaming is not gambling!
