We were in Vegas for the weekend, and played a lot of fun slots. I was looking for information on one, and I came across this slot machine:

Dungeons and Dragons Slots Online

Dungeons and Dragons is a new game from IGT released for internet play. Right now, the game is only available for UK players online, although similar games can be found at Superior Casino

The game demonstrates the nicely how IGT are moving into more creative innovative games. This one has some of the best bonus round gameplay that has been seen on an online slot to date. Explore the dungeons and fight dragons and monsters along the way in your search for bonus money

Dungeons and Dragons Slots

The game is a 20-line video slot with and adventure game bonus round. The bonus round is called Fortress of Fortunes. During the bonus round you find your way around the the dungeons in a search for treasure that gets converted into free spins and bonus multipliers in a free spin feature after you finish the adventure game stage

The aim of the game is to explore the Dungeons, working your way down, fighting dragons and other monsters. As you explore the dungeons you can pick up various weapons as well as strength to fight of the various evil creatures you may encounter. When you do encounter a creature, if you have a weapon, you can use that to defeat it and continue in your adventure, picking up bonuses, which convert into prize money

Should you have no weapons left fight the creatures in the dungeon, you will have to go into battle. At this stage, your strength is shown in comparison to the strength of the creature you are about to fight. In the style of the fantasy board game, your role the die to see how much extra strength you can get. Again, you can carry on your journey if you defeat the creature. If not, you fall and die, which is the end of the bonus game

As you work your way down the dungeons, you collect free spins and additional multipliers for the free spin feature at the end of the game.

As with all the modern IGT games from Wagerworks, the music and graphics are stunning and accompanied with some cool narration, guiding you through the games and commenting on your performance. Again, the game follows in the theme that IGT started with Wolf Run, where bonus games lead to free spins and big wins are accompanied by a fireworks display. Overall, this is a stunning slot to play and one that you should try out at least in free play mode.

Unfortunately, for players in the US this game is not available to play online, not even in free play mode. right now, we would recommend taking a look at Superior Casino for US players wanting to get video slot games with bonus features that are close to original Vegas slots. Some of there games, like their new i-slot range are absolutely phenomenal and you may even prefer them to the casino slots you play in land-based casinos

Other great new games from IGT with innovative features include the new Battleship Search and Destroy game, the cute Lil Lady slots and a whole range of new excellent new games either having been released that have never yet been seen in a casino, like the one based on Transformers, the robots in disguise

Looks like fun. Too bad it's not in the U.S. yet. I am a bit surprised WOTC would issue a slot machine license.

Looks interesting for sure, but I hate slots.

...love me some craps though!

We go to Vegas once a year (I live somewhat close) - next time I go, I will tell my wife to keep an eye out for one (she likes slots).

Can anyone make heads or tails of this? I've watched the video and I've read the description and I see a lot of random things happening but I have no idea what's going on. How is this a slot machine let alone a game that "lets you descend into a dungeon fighting dragons and other monsters"

Maybe I don't play enough slot machines but I'm lost.:erm:

EDIT: Okay I saw the rest of the video and now what they are talking about with the dungeon. I should have watched the video more closely before I posted. I still don't get the slot machine part in the beginning though.

Slot machines have advanced to being nearly video games. These days, you spin the wheels, and if stuff comes up in a line that matches (or if a wild card makes it match), you win money. You can bet on more than one "line" however. It's not just the top, middle, and bottom line now. You can also bet on diagonals and all sorts of wacky lines that they give you the option to cover. For example, I typically play games with 15 lines, but I have seen them as high as something like 50 lines (which is just silly, and you have a screen full of criss-crossing lines trying to show you what you just bet on).

This game is actually not the highest level of game I have seen. It still uses things like J for Jack. Many better games use fully animated characters. For example, I am fond of the Star Trek game, which uses characters from the show, who talk when they come up in groups of three or more. And the game saves your handle, so if you go back a year later (like I just did) it still knows who you are and has your prior medals on record (used to unlock different games in the machine that others cannot use if they do not have enough medals).

For example, here is a bonus round on Star Trek:

Anyway, the games have one or more bonuses that can be triggered, and usually it averages two different kinds of bonuses (not including whats called a scatter bonus). The "Dungeon" bonus comes up in this example. You choose which room to enter, and if the room has treasure you get extra money or a bonus move or both, and if it has a bad guy I assume you fight and can lose and end the bonus there.

That thing's been in Australia for years. We love pokies here. They're the fastest way of returning pension payments to Treasury without being wasted on fripperies like rent or food.

Really? Is there a Hasbro the rest of us don't know about?

The game is called Fortress of Fortune. It is a multi reel online slot game that allows you to vary your bet and win on a multitude of lines. Certain wins (like the 3 d20s) allow you to enter a bonus round where your character moves around a dungeon fighting monsters (outcomes based on d2o rolls). These types of games are very popular in the UK and IGT is a leader in the category with famous games like DaVinci Diamonds.
