Critical Role Announces Fall Programming Slate

Critical Role has announced a full slate of fall programming, with a new Midst podcast, a new Legend of Vox Machina companion show, and the addition of more third-party Actual Play content on Beacon among the highlights. Critical Role confirmed that it would bring back The Re-Slayer's Take, a family-friendly Actual Play series set in Exandria, for a second season with Matthew Mercer, Alex Ward, Xander Jeanneret, Ashley Johnson, and Billy Boyd (yes, the actor from The Lord of the Rings) all joining as guest stars. Joining The Re-Slayer's Take is the third season of Tales from the Stinky Dragon, another family-friendly Actual Play show with a cast of former Rooster Teeth crew. Tales from the Stinky Dragon remains an independent show, but will be added to the Beacon streaming service for its third season.

In non Actual Play news, Midst is getting a new podcast called UNEND, which features Third Person (the trio that performs and narrates the show) telling the tale of a "supernatural ship and a remarkable crew" decades after the events of the previous two Midst-verse series. Narrative Telephone, a COVID-era show, will also be returning as a monthly program starting in October. Critical Role is also launching a companion show to its upcoming third season of The Legend of Vox Machina called Insight Additions with two episodes, one covering each half of the season. Finally, Critical Role is continuing its Beacon-exclusive Fireside chats, with Travis Willingham and Ashley Johnson announced for September and October.

Critical Role previously announced a Daggerheart Critmas Story LIVE show, which will take place on December 7 in Camden, NJ. Notably, the press release for the event says that the Critmas Live Show will feature the "final version" of Daggerheart ahead of that game's 2025 release.

2 hours since the post and not comments yet…so I’ll be the first! :)

Do we have many or any people on Enworld that have signed up for beacon, just curious.

I haven't tried it either. Thought about it but I'm too far behind watching anything right now anyway.

Great to see that they are bringing back Narrative Telephone. Except for, oddly, the Matt Mercer episodes, that was the best short form series they've ever done. Grog's Vlog never fails to make me laugh.
