It's official. Her Majesty's next 00-Agent is Daniel Craig.

The actor has been signed to a three-picture deal starting with the upcoming 007 film, Casino Royale.
...
Wilson confirmed that Casino Royale would be James Bond's "first mission" as a double-oh agent and that the central relationship with the Bond Girl is more serious and will effect Bond's character at the end. Campbell said it is "definitely a darker film, more character less gadgets."

The producers were saying that this was going to be a younger Bond. I'm not saying 37 is old (Roger Moore started at 41), but it definitely has some experience associated with it.

I only know him from Layer Cake (which was bloody fantastic) and Road to Perdition. Can he be Bond? I don't know, I'd like to think so. But we'll see.

I expect he'll get his hair darkened. Like Roger Moore did in the early movies.

Now I'll have to see Layer Cake.

What I'm a bit confused of, though, is this half-arsed attempt at a reboot. Now, I can
certainly take a reboot, I mean, for me James Bond is one of those continuity free icons
(like, say, Superman and it's not like Movie Continuity has ever been particularly strict)
and I really like to think that each James Bond actor's movies as a seperate series,
anyway.

But Judi Dench is M and John Cleese is Q. But this is Bond's first mission. Why don't
they just reboot the whole cast?

Seems silly.

The New Bond.

Just for you ;) , how to clean up a linked link. Example.... Header text [*/url], no stars...done this way, so that the link will not be activated. :)

And thank you for keeping tabs on it. You got credit for both pieces.
