No I mean WotC will not let anything cool or daring or the like become official.
They gave us racial feats. I think is less that they will not do it and more they are taking their time to do it.

I hope they continue and provide skill feats and variant class features. With those to i feel comfortable going straight feats and banning ASIs and multiclassing altogether. The game is, IMO, more interesting when you chose feats and variant features over bumping a stat. And when you have general feats, racial feats, skill feats, and variant features you really have a lot of options to custimize your character.

I am mostly satisfied with the variant features.

My primary feedback was with Spell Versatility. I suggested it should be associated with a downtime activity and a cost to reflect the time and study required to change out a spell.

I also thought some of the additional spells for some classes were anti-thematic. For example, the Smite spells for ranger. Smiting is something I associate with Paladin and I think they don't belong to the Ranger.

My final comment was that this was the UA I've loved the most out of all of them. And to get off their butt and publish the ranger options soon in an official way. :)

As a side note, they listed Blessed Warrior twice.

I was overall very positive, with my only real negatives being that the flexibility given to casters (expanded spell lists + changing regularly) was actual power creep, and the flexibility given to fighting style martials wasn't enough to balance it. Oh, and something pointed out by Brandis Stoddard that warlock now gets Animate Dead on a short-rest recharge, which seems abusable.

My Raven Queen Patron Warlock NEEDS dat short rest charged Animate Dead. HOW ELSE am I gonna go full on Valkyrie Profile Lenneth WITHOUT em!?
