Okay, so I read about Chuubo's and was hooked from the start. I bought the book and I've been pouring through it. It looks like a great game, but I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with getting games going with groups (especially groups who are more geared toward 'traditional' games like D&D and World of Darkness.)
More specifically, I *think* I understand how most of the game set-ups work, but one issue I'm still having comes from the Arcs that people have. Do people, like... finish arcs? Ever? Most things in the game seem to have a kind of "Progress Bar" mentality to them, where there's a clear point where you finish things like quests and issues, but the Arcs themselves don't seem to have something like that. And since arcs are a pretty definite part of making an initial character, I'm guessing that I'm missing something either in the character creation part of the rules or the part of the book that describes and defines arcs.
