Character Theme Songs...

I think the idea of character theme songs is really cool... my DM makes excellent use of music in the game--has all his music broken down into "sneaking," "action," and "dramatic dialogue" folders on his computer, just to name a few.
He can easily switch back and forth between trimuphant music for big fights for "roll" playing... and then, to the appropriate music for "role" playing...

I love it when the DM used musice... but, I also think it's really cool when people find songs for their characters. I am always trying to get the characters that I play with to find a theme songs that fits their character... ya know, if your game was a movie, the song that would cue up when your character is fighting/casting at their peak...

I've become quite fond of Seether by Veruca Salt for my paladin... the song itself doesn't make much sense... but, it's a good girly butt-kicking song..

So, out of curiosity... what's your character's theme song? What are some of your past character's theme songs?

The only character I ever had that had a theme song was my first character, an anti-paladin from back in 1e days. He had two, actually. The first was Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog" and later, after it was released, Manowar's "Black Wind, Fire, and Steel". Ahh...I miss that guy.

I don't have a theme song per se, but there are songs that make me think of my PC and the rest of the party. There's no real pattern or reason to the songs and I don't feel like listing them all. :) I often joke about writing a parody of An American Band and calling it A Sembian Bard.

:)

In a campaign I was playing, I told the DM I wanted my character's theme song to be the song from the opening of the "Angel" TV show.

He never watched the show, so had no idea what I was talking about.

When I run my Paladin/Rogue(in whatever campaign I get to play him in), it'll be Heart of Madness, from Fist of the North Star. I had it on repeat when I was writing up his character concept.

For my Oathbound PC (NE Human Male high-level Fighter that merges the BoVD and BoEF into a perfect union), theme songs would include Bad to the Bone (George T), Cocaine (Eric C), Echoes in the Well (Corrosion of Comformity), Don't Break the Oath (Merciful Fate), The Trooper (Iron Maiden), Damage Inc. (Metallica), the Imperial March (Star Wars), and Girl, You'll be a Woman Soon (Roy O).

Also played listening to a lot of White Zombie/Rob Zombie, Slayer, and Judas Priest.

Occasionally, when in midst battle, I will also insist that the theme from Law and Order be played (straight up... none of this SVU business)...

But, then again, her name is Justice and she is a paladin..

... and I have an irrational love (read, addiction) for Law and Order...

I have character I've never played but if I did his theme would be bother by Stone sour. He's been abandoned twice because he's a sorcerer.
