D&D 5E Character Portraits

Anybody know where to find character portraits sorted by description? It's the same conundrum as with minis; you never seem to find one that's just right. There are many images out there but narrowing the search is problematic.

In this case; a blond baby faced human male cleric of Vecna. Any suggestions are welcome.

Google and time. There is no good way to search the way you want to that I have found. Usually I find an image and then build the character description around that.

You could draw it yourself... Even though if your drawing skills are poor (I know mine are!) it's been said that it simulates different parts of the brain and will help spur creativity.

Let me google that for you

There used to be portraits on the D&D site, but now with google just a few keystrokes away portraits are easier than ever to find. Which is not to say they're particularly easy, just that it's better than it used to be.

You may need to change your criteria and wording a bit, but I've found a ton of art online. Viva le' interwebz. :)

If you want a portrait that's "just right," you'll likely have to commission one.

If that's not an option, seconding the Google image search and/or Pinterest recommendation.

I tend to save any images I come across with names like necromancer-01, Elf-01 etc so that I eventually have a library of images that I can use for ideas. Comes in handy for PC and NPC generation.

There used to be a ton of character portrait collections for games like Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale 1 & 2, and Neverwinter Nights. Try searching those.
