D&D 5E Character concepts you've always wanted to play, but haven't

Sacrosanct

Legend
Whether it be a concept that's always been #2 or #3 and you never got around to it, or a concept that didn't fit into a campaign, or one you did play for a bit, but not as long as you wanted, or whatever reason, what are some of the character concepts you want to play, just haven't got around to it.

Please don't turn this into a psion or warlord thread. Please. We already know about those as not being available.

For me:
* pole arm warrior. Funny enough, a pole arm master is a potent build for 5e, yet very few minis actually have warriors with pole arms. I've been wanting to play one and see the synergy with other front line fighters in the party. Main reason? Don't play as a player that often, and the party hasn't really been comprised of PCs that would fit this type of build.

* black dragonborn warlock of the deep. Just sounds really cool, and haven't got a chance to run it. Obviously playing in a campaign that has water would be ideal. Anyone want to run GoS for me? LOL.

I am about to give lowkey13 a fit of apoplexy....

There's a gnomish paladin I've been thinking of trying out sometime soon.

I've got a potential image for you ...

I'm a forever-DM, but, I've thought about playing the following concepts often while DMing:

1. A Conquistador or Missionary Cleric who worships a monotheistic god that no one else knows of. The Cleric/Conquistador tries to convert others to a religion which only he follows.

2. A truly rogueish Sword Bard/Rogue/Fighter whose skillset is optimized around swordfighting. A Han Solo/Three Musketeers gentleman rogue type.

3. A farmer or townsperson, of simple means but unusual intelligence, pressed into adventuring out of necessity.

I've got one I've been thinking about for a while:

Brewmaster Frohzek! A dwarven fighter or maybe cleric that was a brewer before becoming an adventure. He'd have a table I'd roll on before the start of each adventure:
1-sober
2-tipsy
3-sad drunk
4-angry drunk

But of course, no matter his state, he would insist "don't you know dwarves can't get drunk?"

Even have a mini painted for him, so maybe one of these days I'll get to him:

Does playing but never getting past 3rd level in any edition count? Because then elf. Any elf. Or half elf. Come to think of it, the one PC that got to 3rd was half elf, I don't think any of the rest made it past first.

But assuming we're not talking about curses then I have far, far more concepts than I have time.

My current want-to-play-that-will-probably-never-happen is a super religious wizard. Probably because I don't get to run casters often and the last wizard I played was an atheist. He'd be a conjurer that believes that he's really a cleric of a god that doesn't believe in healing.

Idea 1: A gender fluid wild mage who gender changed every time a wild-magic surge occurs. I'm sure I can find a table of d30 genders lying around somewhere.

Idea 2: A montebank conjurer who does everything he can to avoid combat and direct conflict.

Idea 3: Female warforged fighter whose primary goal is getting pregnant and having a baby.
