Did I hear Danny De Vito right? Sharon Stone is going to be Cat Woman?

Close. Sharon Stone is the villain in the new Cat Woman movie, starring Halle Berry. It's just finishing filming, and is due out this summer.

Oh yeah, it's going to be one of those movies that makes everyone's "Worst Ten of the Year" kinda movies.

:)

That depends how Halle looks in the suit.

Halle Barry can't even bring an ounce of nobility or personalizing of the role to STORM, how is she going to bring ANY legitimacy to Catwoman?

Entertainment Weekly says Catwoman is "all about self-empowerment. That, and belly-baring leather suits."

If Halle thinks she can just don a ripped-up set of leather pants and wear a bikini top, bare her claws and have everyone buy her as a superhero, she's going to have a RUDE awakening come opening day.

That's because she's not the leading lady. You would think that Bryan Singer and X-Men writers would do a sub-story for her, but didn't. That fact is more prevalent when it comes to the Cyclop character who is incapacitated for half of the X2 movie's length, and even if he is not incapacitated, most of his scenes makes him look like a fashion accessory to the leading lady.

Ranger - that's apologetic claptrap.

Patrick Stewart (as Professor X) has gotten about as much screentime (and was incapacitated for most of X2), yet he manages to infuse the role with a spark of the character.

Barry is incapable (IMO) of putting herself into a fantastical character like a superhero. Her range is solely described by characters that are very close to her personality and manners.

But I'm not that versed in her film reperetoire - could someone describe how she's brought a character remotely close to Catwoman to life on screen?

Your joking right? I thought he was pretty dead on to the comic books and that the actor, nope I do not know his name, was one that did some of the better acting. Though to be honest I thought they all were rather well done minus Cyclops but by far the worst was Storm. Anyone want to fathom how hard it is to beat the guy that was one screen for four 30 seconds and didn’t even have the right accent? Incredible hard but Berry managed to pull it off.

I could careless how Barry looks in and out of her "catsuit" simple matter is if I wanted nothing more than a pretty face I could save time and money by looking on the net...

She hasn't. Ms. Berry has never impressed me as an actor, even in Monster's Ball (Nicole Kidman was robbed IMHO, but I might be saying that just because I have a crush on her). Anyway, I have yet to figure the big deal about Halle Berry.
