Can you teleport a golem?

Can you teleport a golem?

My characters have two clay golems, which are immune to magic, so I would say they can't be teleported. The problem stems from magic resistance. Golems are immune to all forms of magic and spell-like ability that allows spell resistance.

Teleport allows saving throws for objects. So, assuming you could teleport his weight, could you teleport a clay golem?

Range: Personal and touch
Saving Throw: None and Will negates (object)
Spell Resistance: No and Yes (object)

Note that the spell comes in two flavours - the Personal, and the Touch.

The Personal part allows no save or SR. The Touch part allows a Will Negates, and SR.

Since the golems cannot be affected by the Personal part, only the Touch part applies... which allows SR, and so they are immune.

"Yes (object)" does not mean "For objects, SR is allowed"; it means "SR is allowed, and this can also apply to objects".

From the Magic Overview:
(object): The spell can be cast on objects, which receive saving throws only if they are magical or if they are attended (held, worn, grasped, or the like) by a creature resisting the spell, in which case the object uses the creature’s saving throw bonus unless its own bonus is greater. (This notation does not mean that a spell can be cast only on objects. Some spells of this sort can be cast on creatures or objects.)

Compare Disintegrate, for example:
Saving Throw: Fortitude partial (object).
Creatures get a save against Disintegrate - the Fort Partial applies to both objects and creatures.

Spell Immunity is essentially infinite spell resistance.

If you can order the golems, you can order them to lower their resistance, then teleport them. Keep in mind how much they weigh, however.

I don't have my monster manuel in front of my as I am at work, but I don't think golems have SRT, just an immunity to magic in general (if it allows spell resistance) so I don't think they can lower it.

Not possible. I had realized this some time ago, and it's quite a big problem for those Golem-constructing wizards who want to take their constructs along on their next trip. Its next to impossible to take your golem anywhere.

At least the archmages can have their golems guard their teleportation circles without having to afraid they will be teleported away themselves.

Or build Constructs that don't have Spell Immunity such as Shield Guardians, Homunculi, Runic Guardians, Juggernauts, Nimblewights, Effigy creatures, etc.

Golems don't have SR, they have Spell Immunity.

Spell Immunity (Ex): A creature with spell immunity avoids the effects of spells and spell-like abilities that directly affect it. This works exactly like spell resistance, except that it cannot be overcome.

SPELL RESISTANCE
Spell resistance is the extraordinary ability to avoid being affected by spells.

A creature can voluntarily lower its spell resistance. Doing so is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. Once a creature lowers its resistance, it remains down until the creature’s next turn. At the beginning of the creature’s next turn, the creature’s spell resistance automatically returns unless the creature intentionally keeps it down (also a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity).

Spell Immunity works 'exactly like SR', and SR can be voluntarily lowered.

There's certainly room to argue that Spell Immunity, therefore, can be lowered...

What teleporting casters need is a Sponge Golem. That way, when it's dry, you can just put it in your pocket and teleport all you like; when you need protection, throw it into a glass of water, watch it grow to Large size, and kick butt.
