Best Value for Money RPG Purchase

What RPG product have you bought that has given you the best value for your money?

I think that we should ignore core rulebooks for this purpose as they would probably be most people's best value purchase otherwise.

So, what was your best value purchase?

A subscription to Dungeon Magazine. Specifically, for the year Age of Worms was published. Ne'er before have I gotten a full campaign's worth of work out of a single product (although, of course, I'm doing plenty of my own kitbashing on it to tailor it to my game group and my personal preferences).

Second to that would have to be my trusty Eberron Campaign Setting. Love that book, and I've been gaming in Eberron since the month it was released.

Demiurge out.

I second demiurge's preferences. Dungeon and Eberron Campaign Setting have been very good to me. Honourable mentions go out to my dice, D&D Minis, and the Complete/Race series in that order.

Without core rulebooks? Hmm...

For D&D the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (plus the Player's Guide to Faerûn upgrade) would take the crown, I guess.

World's Largest Dungeon, hands down. I'm about half way through, a year of gaming in, with about another year of gaming to go. A hundred bucks to not have to do a minute of prep time for the next six months (I've prepped that far ahead) is MORE than worth it.

I have to admit, I will likely never run anything but uber modules again for the rest of my DMing career. It's just far too much fun.

The GURPS 3e books - most of which are now sold at prices at $9.95.
Yup, those.

I've collected quite a number now, and many were closer to $5 (USD) than $10, as it turned out. Amazing value for what are in fact the best-written RPG sourcebooks, period.

For non-d20, GURPS Uplift 2nd ed.'s charts on alien creation and uplift and useful for all kinds of settings.

For d20, it is the Second World Sourcebook (nudging out Shaping the Self and Beast Builder) for its influence rules and suggestions on how to merge d20 fantasy and modern.

OD&D(1974) boxed set. it was way over priced ($10) for what i wanted to spend for a game at the time. but i have gotten a lot of use out of it.
