D&D 3E/3.5 Best spells from the Spell Compendium

So far we've not incorporated any spells from the 3.5E Spell Compendium and I'm only broadly familiar with the spells contained within it.

However, based on people's wider experience, for the Cleric, Druid, Sorcerer and Wizard classes (and limiting the spell level to 6th or lower; i.e. no 7th level or higher spells are allowed in the campaign) what would you say are the "best" spells from the Spell Compendium? (Note that we use the alternative Monte Cook Sorcerer spell list, which is a subset of the Wizard spell list - think "blaster" spellcaster as opposed to more "bookish" spell caster.) Ideally, I'd like to get to the point where there's a limited subset (say a dozen per class spread across the 6-levels) that we can trial in the next campaign.

By "best" I mean something that doesn't either directly replace a spell in the PHB and ideally adds something different to what's available in the PHB.

Also, a heads-up about any "broken" spells would be much appreciated.

Many thanks!

Playing my high level eldritch knight using UA recharge I remember a couple swift action buffs for some melee attacks that were regulars for me to mesh well with full attacks but I can’t recall if they were from the spell compendium or ogl sources. I also really liked the adamantine wings one as an EK.

Assay Spell Resistance is one I remember causing the DM a lot of pain in higher level games.
