D&D 3E/3.5 Best of 3.5: Books Edition

As a companion to my more general "Best of 3.5" thread, I wanted to ask:

Are there books outside the big 3 that you find indispensable for running 3.5? That you find yourself going back to more than any of the other books?

And are there books that you bought and have never found a use for?

If so, what are they?

Well, my personal top 5, which is based on what I find the most fun and flavorful to play, and the fluff of the book, would be Complete Scoundrel, Libris Mortis, Lords of Madness, Complete Champion, and Sandstorm.

Player's Handbook II
All 7 Complete Books (not counting Psionics)
Magic Item Compendium
Spell Compendium
Unearthed Arcana

Those plus the PHB/DMG/MM are the (extended) Core of D&D3.5 for me.

Can you say a little bit more about Sandstorm? I think the environment books are the ones I know the least about. What's the content that you find yourself referencing most in that book?

Besides the 3 core we always use

Tome of Horrors 1,2 & 3 from Necromancer
Grimtooths Wurst from Necromancer
The Green Ronin Race books
PHB 2

Can you compare and contrast the GR race books with the Races of... series? Are there specific things that you can point to that GR did right and WotC did wrong with those books?

These are the books that form the basis of my games - A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe; Complete Series (minus Psionics); Dungeon Master's Guide (1st Edition AD&D); Living Greyhawk Gazetteer; Monster Manuals III-V; Player's Handbook II; Rules Compendium.

Well, the fluff is great. and I love desert set games. I'm working on a pyramid right now, even. The dust elemental thing is fun too, and the information on heat conditions.

So its been along time since I compared the two but I remember GR fluff is better and give you more subraces IIRC and other variations. I may be wrong on that though. I dont have the Races of anymore.
