Best game stores of Boston?

KrazyHades

First Post
I wanted to ask the ENWorld community (or, shall I say, Hivemind) about the very best gaming stores in the Boston area. I've been thinking of getting some friends gaming-related presents for the holidays.

The Compleat Strategist, 201 Massachusetts Avenue (near Symphony Hall) always seems to have plenty of books in stock, minis, paints, board games, and CCGs. My dad bought me the Petal Throne boxed set there for Xmas 1977!
Across the river, you've got Pandemonium Books and Games, in Central Square, Cambridge. Their gaming stuff is in a big basement-level lair.
Further out, there's Your Move Games in Davis Square, Somerville; and Danger Planet off Moody Street in Waltham. Your Move is particularly strong in CCGs, and Danger Planet is heavy on the Warhammer miniatures purchasing system tabletop fantasy battles.
Happy shopping!

Honestly, the last few experiences that I had with Danger Planet moved them way down the list. Pandemonium is the way to go. If they don't have what you are looking for they will work with you to get it.

I have missed the hell out of Pandemonium Books ever since moving to Chicago, and I've recently discovered that they've only gotten more awesome in my absence. I'm going to be visiting them every time I happen to be in the old home town.

Pandemonium, for sure.

I live in Davis, so I go to Your Move pretty often. Unfortunately, some of the kids who go there think that "browsing while female" is asking to be hit on. Bad. It's also mini-weak. Hobby Bunker up in Malden has a good selection of minis and stocks Reaper miniatures. Complete Strategist, closet-small as it is, also has nice Reapers and some obscure books if you go digging.

Pandemonium is definitely great all around, though.

There is a GEM of a store south of boston called Battlegrounds.
It's on rte18 on the weymouth line.
Great great store.
Check out their website and they also have their own forums.

Wow, thanks guys. Some great sounding suggestions. I think I'll check out Pandemonium first, because you've all rated it so highly. I'll be sure to let them know that the ENWorld community referred me.
