Beowulf [1999] v. Beowulf [2007]

I haven't seen the newer one yet, but am curious to know why a big fan of the older movie would see the new one. Its only been 8 years, so what gives?

I've never seen the '99 one; didn't even know it existed, but from IMDB it sounds like they're really apples and oranges. I'll have to get it from Netflix and compare. You might want to check out the 2005 Beowulf and Grendel as well.

The Lambert vehicle blew chunks. The Gerard Butler movie wasn't bad, IMO. I have not seen Beowulf: Prince of the Geats. I very much enjoyed the new Beowulf movie in 3D at the Imax. I also liked The 13th Warrior, as well.

I saw your second sentence and couldn't understand how someone could say that. And then I read your first sentence and it all made sense. You have my sympathies.
