Bard/Rogue build.

Hey there people I was corrently multiclassing a Bard/Rogue.

This is how it went down, we didn't start off as magical users so I Rogue until level 2 favorit class. But then when I became able to become a bard I got the chose of gaining a new favorit class, so I went with bard ofcourse.

3 level rogue and 1 level bard. " I choose this but we are still in leveling/putting in skill points phase which means I can undo one level of rogue"

My stats are as following, and I raised my dex from 15-16 at level 4.

10 STR
16 DEX (2+ human racial)
11 CON
15 INT
12 WIS
18 CHA

I am currently level 4 in all. I can still choose to go 2 rogue, 2 bard. But I wanted to get atleast to level 3-4 for acess to Trickster later aswell as 1+ fortitude and 2d6 sneak attack.

What do you guys think? In what order should I obtain levels?

My plan is as following. Go level 3 rogue and level 1 bard, then contiue to level bard until level 6 where I got 3 levels in each. Then go one more rogue level or maybe sooner.

Or should I stay level 2 rogue and go all in on the bard until a later level?

I just felt that its better to do it now in the early levels then later.

I may go level four in rogue for both rogue talent + uncanny dodge since I am a very dex based character.

My feats are: Decitful, Persusive, Agile Manuvers and as Rogue talent I got Finesse Rogue/Weapon Finesse.

I feel like Uncanny dodge is not in my in interesseret to skip.

Do mind we play in a low fantasy world so that overuse of magic will have a chance of backfireing social wise.

So much of this depends on what sort of character you imagine becoming. What do you want to do well?

I aiming for a support sorta minded character, but aswell one WHO can do a few, Things on his own. The trickster sort of type aswell with heavy focus on social skills, I have up to many times now succed in getting us out of fights with various cultist where we where 2 vs 8 or so. Aswell manage to lullaby a Whole crowd nearly to sleep so we could sneak from a manison into a backyard with a lybriant and the stories go on.

Aswell manage to escape being dragged to Court by guards by useing ghost sounds to make them run ahead and offer us a escape route.

My role is to be the skillfull sort of guy, the one that fixes all non combat stuff mainly and keep us out of trouble when its more then we can handle. Abit of crowd control you could call it.

He is the getting stuff don kind of type, and violence in his eyes is mostly Waste of time and Means that your short of Words and idears/ain't witty enough to get around Things.

I don't why the site edits alot my test to be CAPS but it do, or make big letters where it pleases.

Anyway hope its usefull :)

My character is rolled by standart by takeing 4d6 and take the lowest away. Do that six times etc.

I can aswell go with 20 CHA but I just felt my character would have trouble if I don't buff my other stats abit.

Ah, then by that description, it sounds to me like you'd be better off going more Bard than Rogue. Bardic Music, social skills, buff spells. Any Rogue talents you do take should compliment your social and skillful roles.

I'm unsure of the rules in Pathfinder, but I know 3.5 allowed applying Sneak Attack damage to damage dealing spells that targeted an opponent within 30' that met the requirements (no dex, flanking, etc), I wonder if you could add the damage die to spells like Ear Piercing Scream.

What I ment was I am not going to get my rogues level higher then 3-4, its all I need to get into trickster later if I like that. I plan to go mainly bard.

What I am asking though is if I should go 2 rogue 2 bard first or 3 rogue 1 bard. Then 4 rogue and 1 bard. Or if I should go to level 3-4 with bard before takeing the last rogue levels.

In other words, I would like to know which order I should pick my rogue and bard levels in. :)

So faar we only play by the corebook so I can't pick Rogue Talents with social skill causes ain't any in the corebook.

I chose weapon finesse purely to be abit combat able, aswell Agile Manuvers to not be a total wimp. I can maybe arrange getting my 12 wis switch to 12 STR but I just see that wis is quite good for a bard/rogue due to skills and more will.

Rogue, Rogue, Rogue, Bard.

level 1 skill points
Sneak attack +2d6
+1 rogue talent (Finesse Rogue, saves your level 1 feat unless you really want something else... Bleeding Attack, fr'ex)
... and you never need to see Rogue ever again.

If you don't care about Sneak attack - Rogue, Rogue, Bard, Bard and never look back at Rogue.

Well so faar I am 2 levels of rogue and 1 level of bard. What I am asking is if I should take one more level in rogue or keep on with bard and revisit rogue later on. Either 3 rogue 1 bard or 2 rogue 2 bard.

I plan to go 3-4 levels in rogue. Probably 4 for uncanny Dodge. I am quite dead without my DEX bonus

Plan to go Trickster later on, I need 3 rogue levels for that.
