D&D 5E Barbarian Brutal Crit and Sneak attack dice

Quick question, I made a barbarian NPC with rogue levels. He's high enough he gets brutal crit, I was wondering if the extra die of damage granted by it also applies to the sneak attack damage. It is my understanding the sneak attack normally gets included in the bonus dice for a regular crit, but I'm not sure if that extends the same perk for Brutal Crits. Cheers.

I believe the text for Brutal Critical says "weapon damage dice", which I'm pretty sure doesn't include Sneak Attack.

I believe it's even more specific than that. Its weapon damage die. So a d12 gets a whole other d12, but 2d6 only gets one more d6.
