Hi there, as I've written in other posts, I've got a group already, and I'm going to convert them to 5E from D20. However, I'm having trouble at thinking about the background for a char.
He's a CN Halfling with desires of grandeur. He wishes to be recognized as superior by his kin, and he does whatever it takes to achieve it.
His personality and objectives completely deviates from standard Halflings, but I don't know how to adapt it rule-wise.
He's more than a simple rogue, he's a thief, like the good old ones from AD&D, pickpocketing whenever he's around people just because he can, and he has a level of sorcerer, willing to use it to help his things.
And whenever the group does anything good, like saving s city from its politicians (one of them who happened to be a young black dragon), he pays bards to sing the adventures of Torv and his friends to the people back in his homeland.
How can I define his background rule wise in 5E?
Thanks for the help and sorry if the question is stupid, I've never used the background thing before, and this one might help me with all the others.
