Awakened Tree stats?

Eldorian

First Post
Hey, what would be the stats, including ECL, of an awakened tree? Also, how would an awakened tree or a Treant with Monk levels determine his damage?

Oh, and would the Treant's slam attack count as improved unarmed strike for PrC and Feat requirements? I'm leaning towards yes, since he simply hitting people with his fists, with no AoO.

Thinking of playing a treant in a game, or maybe a half treant, or an awakened tree, I'm still undecided.

Use the stats of an animated object of appropriate size.

Use Con 12-13 for a medium-sized tree (or +2 Con), and +4 Con for each size increase above that.

Someone else will have to answer your other questions :)

Half-treant? How...

I've heard about cross-polination, but this is something I don't want to know about...
Oooh! You went there. I was activly NOT going to bring that "concept" up.. but you went there. I would assume it would have to be a "magical union" Like the old story of a human woman and her horse finding the magic pool to drink from and falling in love and 9 months later the first centaur was born.

How do you determine how many hd the tree would have? In the Awaken spell description you have to make a save based off it's prospective HD to successfully awaken a tree.

Just compare the size to the animated objects entry and give it hd equal to that but with plant hd instead of contruct hd? Where do you get it's physical stats from? MM2 has a chart up front that'd help with making it up, but there doesn't appear to be a set rule...
