Astral Dreadnought has kind of a fatal flaw?

Is it just me or does the astral dreadnought have a terribly fatal flaw?
Anyone who gets swallowed by it gets to go to a demiplane, where they can hack away at the creature at their leisure? It's seems like the best way to fight an astral dreadnought is to climb into it's mouth so you can attack it from it's digestional demi-plane (not that the demi-plane actually causes any damage to you)...

It'd be cooler if being on the demiplane actually could damage you in someway. Maybe make you vulnerable to influence, similar to a plane.

You should take note of this:

Orb of Dread (free 1/round; at-will) ✦ Psychic
Close blast 3; targets swallowed creatures; +26 vs. Will; the
target is dazed (save ends). First Failed Saving Throw: The target
is stunned instead of dazed (save ends). Second Failed Saving
Throw: The target is stunned and takes ongoing 40 psychic
damage (save ends both).

You should take note of this:
Especially note the part where you:

  1. Become Dazed (take one action per round);
  2. Become Stunned (take no actions per round); and
  3. Take Ongoing 40 Psychic damage. (Don't forget to save against each instance of the power! :))
Oh wait, that's the whole thing.

It's an easy power to miss in that statblock, (and ought to be more prominent, IMO), but it's totally brutal.

So how do powers like this work? Is it:

Fail first save. Make second save; now completely fine?
Fail first save. Make second save; still suffer from first affect?

If you get hit with the same affect again, you don't have to make two saving throws do you? :-S

A successful save gets you out of the effect. Continuous failed saves make the effect worse.

Yeah, like others have said, keep reading the statblock till you get to the end of it.

[off-topic] Simplicity, you have a quote out there someone is using as a sig wherein you were discussing poor module writing. You had a paragraph of a group of men that "were not making apple pies" or something like that. Just want to say...that. was. awesome. Very creative.[/off-topic]

But let's not also forget that anyone swallowed into the demiplane does not get the penalty from the fear aura.

I was really hoping that the Orb of Dread would be dealing damage when first used instead of only doing damage after the second failed save.
