Aspect of Tiamat attack rules....help!!!

I'm a new user and loving this site!

I posted this on another thread, but might do better under this topic as I'm looking for an answer before my game tonight....thanks for your help!!

I understand fully the rules governing full round actions and standard actions with relation to moving etc (D&D 3.5) , however, I know that some creatures with multiple heads get special rules....I'm trying to figure out if this is the case for the Aspect of Tiamat:

1. Does the Aspect get to attack with all 5 heads even if it moves like how a hydra can, or does she need a full round action (no movement) to do this? Also, can 1 head breathe and the other 4 attack in one round, or is a breath from 1 head a full round action.

2. She can perform the "Crush" attack by moving over the characters......can she do this as part of a move and still get an attack (or all heads attack) after moving over them, or is that her only attack?

The adventure I'm running doesn't supply all the info and I'm trying to figure out the rules governing her- thanks!

Thanks everyone!!!!!

I would use the hydra rules. Including the one about each head getting it's own Attack of Opportunity. And her heads acting independently, each breathing or biting as she feels fit.

For the crush thing: well I'd rule she could do it as a move and still attack.

It's Tiamat, she should be scary.

hope this helps.

Crush attacks for true dragons require a standard action (so no other attacks), so I have to disagree with DoD. Hope the differing opinions aren't too confusing!

Ah. I've learnt something. Thanks freyar.

No problem. If there's one thing converting monsters has taught me, it's to run to the SRD when I need an answer. ;)

It does not get this ability unless its write-up says so... and I seem to recall that it doesn't. It would be treated more like a chimera (or for that matter, any other multi-headed creature that doesn't specifically state an exception in its write-up).

Depending on the resource you are using, its stats should have the following lines as normal:
Attack (i.e. what it can do if it moves) and
Full attack

I also recall that it could only use one of its breath weapons at a time.

If we are talking RHoD.. then you are correct. It mentions nothing about having:

... that the Hydra has.

The Aspect has 9 DEX, and doesn't have combat reflexes at all.
