D&D (2024) Are weapon masteries usable every single attack or once per turn?

ECMO3

For extreme example if my 5th level Paladin has a Glaive and Cleave and PAM and I am using a extra attack can I make two attacks and a bonus action attack and if all 3 hit I get 3 Cleave attacks too (assuming an enemy within 5 feet and within reach)?

Not with Cleave, which specifically states you can only use it once per turn.

  • Graze can be used with every missed attack.
  • Nick is also 1/turn.
  • Push can be used with every attack.
  • Sap could theoretically be used with every attack, but if you're attacking the same target, there's no additional effect since you can't stack multiple instances of disadvantage. You could, however, sap multiple enemies in one turn.
  • Slow doesn't stack but you could use it against multiple foes.
  • You can attempt to Topple with each attack, but obviously once you knock someone prone, there's no point in trying to do so again. But if you make an attack and they make the save and aren't knocked prone, you can try again with your next attack. Or you can try and topple multiple foes with your separate attacks.
  • Vex is like Sap - yes, you can use it with each attack, but you can't give yourself multiple instances of advantage against the same target, so it's better to use it against multiple foes.

I have found prone to be highly situational in play. You prone the guy you are fighting and then the Barbarian with a Polearm, the Ranger shooting a bow and the Wizard casting firebolt all have disadvantage. Then he stands up on his turn.

There are times it is good, especially when prone and grappled, but it is situational.

Vex gives your next attack against them advantage so what happens is after that first attack you have this perpetual advantage against that opponent until you defeat them and move on to the next, so you almost never want to use it on multiple foes in the same turn.

Well, I guess if you attacked multiple targets to start with, giving yourself advantage against all of them, then you could continue to have advantage to attack all of them on subsequent rounds. But I see what you are saying.

You attack the target without advantage. Vex then gives you advantage on the next attack. You make that attack, and you then have advantage on the next one, and so on. Yes.
