Any stats for Gunblades?

As in, Squall and Seifer's weapon in FF8.

Any stats? More importantly, I'd like to know the pricing for a weapon that can act as melee and ranged.

Believe it or not, Gunblades were based off of actual real-world attempts at marrying pistols and knives, so that in the good old days of one-shot black powder weapons, the user wasn't totally disarmed if caught with an expended pistol in melee. Kind of a "miniature bayonet" if you will. For pricing, you're looking at a heafty exotic weapon expense, perhaps 300 gp for a non-masterwork model.

If you were working on a real-world "gunblade", you're looking at a 6-shot pistol (I think the DM says 1d12/x3 for those?) and a dagger (1d4 dmg, 19-20 crit.) If you wanted it to work as well as it does in Final Fantasy, then you're better off calling it something like 1d12, 18-20/x3 for crits, 80 ft range...

...or maybe just getting yourself some of those augment crystals from Magic Iterm Compendium... ;)

As in, for example:

IMO, the simplest method would be to use the stats for a shortsword and a Modern handgun. Shrtsword does 1d6, typical handguns do either 2d4 or 2d6. If you're really keen, treat the weapon as a non-magical flaming weapon with 6 charges; each attack costs a charge and adds +1d6 fire damage to the attack.

The Ravenloft 3.5 PHB has stats for that. In there it is called a Parthian Rapier and is basically a pistol/rapier combination.

It is treated as an exotic weapon. On a successful hit, you can pull the trigger to shoot the target as a free action. The target does not get any Dex bonuses to AC against the shot (presumably because the blade is still in their body) and the weapon is finessable.

Damage is as a rapier with the same threat range. The pistol portion is d10, with the same threat range but a X3 multiplier instead of X2.
