anime Serial Experiments Lain on TechTV

Starting this Monday (the 20th), Serial Experiments Lain comes to Anime Unleashed on TechTV. Anime Unleashed is on at 12 midnight Central.

Lain is a pretty good series, and has received a good deal of critical acclaim. Set in modern day Japan, it's about a girl who discovers the cyber world of "the Wired." It gets pretty surreal as we get deeper into the story.

I highly recommend it to both anime and non-anime fans.

Actually, in the series, the Wired is an advanced version of the Internet. The weirdness begins when, for Lain, the boundary between the real world and the Wired begins to blur.

The series is very much an acid trip, and is quite artistic in how it expresses itself. I highly recommend watching it, although I'm a bit worried that the TV version won't be as good as the version I saw (subtitled and uncut, I don't know what edits TechTV will implement, if any, but it almost certainly will be dubbed).

I just started watching Lain last night, partly because I noticed this thread. I've had it for ages, but never got around to watching it
