Lack of any input on a slightly related thread has prompted me to re-ask the question on its own thread.
OK, so this feat was written as an alternative to the leadership feat.... is it balanced?
Should I make the multiplier x2 (instead of x3) because other Leadership enhancing feats (such as ones from Heroes of Battle) can further adjust those numbers of followers?

Skilled Staff [Leadership - alternate feat]
You attract more skilled followers than other leaders, although overall numbers are less.
Prerequisites: Charisma 15, Character Level 6
Benefit: As an alternative to the standard Leadership feat, this feat functions much the same, with the following changes: When determining the followers that are attracted according to your leadership score, only half (rounded down) of the normal allotment of 1st level followers will be available. For 2nd level and higher level followers, use three times the number indicated according to your Leadership Score. Cohorts are still bound by the normal limits of the Leadership Score (or by other Leadership enhancing feats). A character that takes Skilled Staff may not take the standard Leadership feat and vice-versus.
Skilled Staff is an alternate Leadership feat, so Leadership enhancing feats (such as those found in Heroes of Battle or elsewhere) may still affect the qualities of this feat; references to the Leadership feat are interchangeable with Skilled Staff in these instances.
Normal: Characters with the Leadership feat use the Leadership Score tables without adjustment.
This feat was originally considered as an add-on feat in a Leadership Tree of feats. It seemed rather weak overall, especially because you would have needed to be 9th level (or close to 9th) in order to get the feat. As a replacement to the standard feat, it allows access at 6th level (like Leadership). Opinions on whether the feat should be a replacement or as an add-on, are appreciated as well.
