I'd see if you can find any of the old Clan War line that AEG did. Very nice Japanese fantasy minis and ultimately a pretty large range.
Alkemy's Jade Triad faction is excellent for wuxia style minis: Kraken Editions
Perry Miniatures does a range called Age of War: Samurai Armies. In addition to some very nice samurai and ashigaru, the line also has townspeople and villagers that'd be handy for roleplaying.
Pramas beat me to my favourites these days - the Alkemy Jade Triad (great game too, by the way).
Hell Dorado has some nice, if sometimes weird, chinese as well.
There are a smattering of other fantastic figures, of course. Misaki, from Wyrd, for instance.
And, hey, don't get turned down by Okko saying that they're 32mm - that's just more honest than most companies. Most '28mm' fantasy are 32mm or bigger. Historical are often a tad smaller.
