101 Inspiringly Punny Titles...

Pbartender

First Post
I'd like to start a list...

What I'm looking for are puns that are based off of short, common phrases, sayings and proverbs, that would work well as the title for a D&D adventure, and that also inspire the plot of the adventure itself. For example:

1. "To Heir Is Human" - An adventure about foiling a usurper, or perhaps a murder mystery concerning a large inheritance, or maybe the search for a long, lost son of a noble... Could also involve human/humanoids half-breeds (like half-elves or half-orcs).

2. "Feud For Thought" - A psionic doppleganger is instigating a war between two clans for his own gain.

'Small Medium at Large' is the punchline of a joke and the title of a quest I'll be sending my players on down the line. A gnome fortune teller/mystic gets himself in trouble with the local thieves' guild and turns to the players for help.

I am so yoinking that for my own game. Thanks. :D

I've often used pun titles for some of my adventures. There have been:

"Centaur of Attention," about a captured centaur used to pull a cart for an evil wizard

"Invisible Stalker," which was not about the monster, but rather a human stalker with a ring of invisibility

"Peer Amid the Waters," about a flooded pyramid (that one was even subtitled "You Conduit If You Try," since there was a pair of conduit bracelets featured in the adventure)

"Time Well Spent," about an artifact, the time well, that was currently "spent" of its stored temporal energy

"A Boring Little Adventure," in which an aspis hive is blamed for attacks by a group of boring beetles

I even managed to get the first three published.

That is from the powerpuff girls if I am not wrong:)

"B-Quest"
Party was offered a heirloom treasure map. The quest featured every monster type starting with "B" from the Monsterous Compendium. I was especially proud of fitting the Barracuda in a forest environment.
I don't remember when the Players figured it out, but they began throwing dice.
