Level Up (A5E) So. Permanency, the spell.

Maybe the "take up the target's attunement slots" thing could be a good rare variant for permanency (cursing permanency?)

Level Up (A5E) So. Permanency, the spell.

maybe link it to a saving throw or something?

Level Up (A5E) So. Permanency, the spell.

i'll assume the attunement slot is only "occupied" as long as the spell is in effect, and it would make sense that the target of the effect (if it positive) would be the one with the attunement slot taken (though if its something like polymorphing a frog and making it permanent, it would be the...

Level Up (A5E) So. Permanency, the spell.

The intent, it seems, is for 8th level or high casting to remove a previous restriction. For the attunement thing, that's a bit more tricky but I'll assume it would be the target of the spell.

Level Up (A5E) So. Permanency, the spell.

I will say i do like EvilDMGuy's idea to connect permanancy to the attunement mechanic. Makes it both reasonable and balanced with you having to pick against having permanent truesigth against a magic item.

Level Up (A5E) So. Permanency, the spell.

i also point out there's even less precedent for attribute loss in A5E.

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

definatly not as expensive as an actual dragon, but i could see it being comparable to a wyvern.

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

i know dragon eggs in base a5e has an associated cost, so maybe throw in costs for drake eggs (similar, costs to have these as mounts).

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

i do feel like you could do an elite version of this (like a primordial earth giant, for example).

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

i suppose it's inspired by some symbiotic relationships ants have?

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

so was the ankheg symbiosis from the article or is that something you added?

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

it would be kinda cool if one of the Legends and Lore would be its a distant relative of the tarrasque.

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

i suppose it would make sense that if the hai-riyo is the aerial dragon turtle, it would have a titanic equivalent as a variant as well.

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

should this be a dragon and not a monstrosity? wyverns are dragonkin and their labeled as dragons?

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

technically you can just use combinations of the four alignment traits, chaotic evil, lawful good, chaotic good, and law good are alignment traits already.

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

also cause wounds isn't spell in a5e, but rather inflict wounds.

Level Up (A5E) A Leveled-Up Bestiary: Volume Two

kinda strange you didn't give alignment traits for the Equars, as that would make sense considering the alignment thing they have.
