    D&D General lightning-themed environment?

I like the idea of a giant circuit board. Capacitors and Resistors as large as a person and energy arcing around changing it as gates alter the current around the map.

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

Well there's the matter of why Mae thinks she and the Jedi have "unfinished business", we might get a flashback to that. There's clearly something more to that childhood incident.

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

TBH, I sort of assumed that was what was going to happen, when all the promotional material had that character in only one setting.

Star Wars: The Acolyte starts June 4

The fight choreography is really good

D&D (2024) What is your favorite standard 2024 cover?

I voted MM, but tbh, they look great together, there's a cohesion and yet distinctiveness.

D&D 5E New Monster Manual Cover

Initial impression ... this is my fav of the three. Really digging the back cover, just a wall of monsters staring right at you, but the action in the front is really nice too.

    Spoilers Doctor Who 2024 (spoilers)

It's not like Lindy was incapable of walking, it's that she's not used to making the decisions of where/how to walk. The skill is there, the mental effort to steer and control had been left to the Dots.

D&D (2024) What should WotC change with their new screen?

I prefer a landscape screen because a portrait screen is too tall for me and really separates me from the players. I dislike setting myself that apart from the group. Also, I do not roll dice behind a screen in combat, so I'd find portrait too intrusive for me. Heck, there are times I find even...

D&D (2024) Which section of the 2024 PHB will you check out first?

I think I'll skip to the Druid and Sorcerer first (my fav core classes), then go back and read through the whole book.

    Spoilers Doctor Who 2024 (spoilers)

Yes and no. The microaggressions and comments were there, I didn't notice them during the first watch, but they're there on the rewatch. I thought she was pretty horrible from the get go, but I had worried that this whole episode would be "old man yells about the kids and their social medias".

D&D General What is the right amount of Classes for Dungeons and Dragons?

The Mystic was definitely pulled too thin by trying to be "all of Psionics" in one package, but we now have the Soulknife and Psi Warrior, Aberrant Mind and Great Old One Patron, so another take on the Mystic can be narrower in scope

D&D General Druids and Path Dependency: Why the Scimitar Helps Illuminate D&D

This all gets reinforced by the DnD fantasy fiction that reinforces those DnDisms. And in more recent fantasy fiction, the Iron Druid series is all about a Druid that shapeshifts and is considered super powerful because he can use cold iron and wield magic.

D&D (2024) Alternate 2024 DMG Cover features Lolth!

I frickin' called it. Myself from the DMG cover thread:

D&D General What is the right amount of Classes for Dungeons and Dragons?

Lol, I must be one of the few Incarnum fans, I've a few half-baked attempts at an Incarnum system for 5e.

D&D General What is the right amount of Classes for Dungeons and Dragons?

Given the Warlock's popularity and the absolute outrage at the UA that tried them as Half-Casters, there is market for spellcasters that don't function the same as the core spellcasters do, and I do see Psionics as a way to fill that desire. It's also what I'd like from the Artificer, I'm not a...

D&D General What is the right amount of Classes for Dungeons and Dragons?

I think that expecting Psionics to get a full list of powers that are slightly reformatted spells like in 3.5ed is a challenge. And I'll agree that that implementation was really just spells with slightly different mechanics. This is also a problem for Magic and Psionics, in general. Spells...

D&D General What is the right amount of Classes for Dungeons and Dragons?

I also just liked a lot of those more experimental books. Magic of Incarnum, Tome of Magic, Tome of Battle weren't perfect, but I appreciated the innovation.

D&D (2024) New Dungeon Master's Guide Cover Features Venger (From the D&D Cartoons)

Hmmm, I'm awaiting the conundrum I'll have if I vastly prefer the alt cover, because I prefer the standard PHB over the alt ... do I go for consistency or just get the different style covers?

    D&D General Universal Subclasses

To be honest, I'd sooner use a renown system or something else. Maybe feats. Or to go to 4e ... something I think 5e is missing might be adding Themes as an optional add-on to PCs. Themes can be a bit more universal
