D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

Actually, that raises an interesting question - do we know if there's also a "modern" version? If so, how will it differ? Or is this perhaps the "modern" version and there will be a "classic" version?

D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

Honestly, it would have been much cooler if they'd done male and female versions. Then everyone could have had the version they want.

D&D General Bob World Builder Recreates WOTC's "Do You Like Me?" Survey!

He hasn't made a video on the results that I'm aware of, but the data is public: Bob's Survey about Dungeons & Dragons

    An actually transforming robot Megatron.

I feel like the only response Megatron should give to voice commands are "Nobody summons Megatron!" (or "I belong to nobody!", etc...)

WotC DnDBeyond open call for article freelancers

To be fair, this is for D&D Beyond, which doesn't support any other editions.

    Goodman Games Forums Closing.

Hopefully there'll be sufficient backups on the Internet Archive. Hate to see history going away. (Still sad so much of the Wizards forums didn't make it.)

What are you reading in 2024?

Finished a light read, Bumblebee & Me: Life as a G1 Transformer by Dan Gilvezan (the original voice of Bumblebee). Short, and admittedly padded on top of that (there's an appendix for a Transformers episode guide), but there are some fun anecdotes about Gilvezan's time working on the original...

    D&D (2024) WotC Fireside Chat: Revised 2024 Player’s Handbook

I'm very curious which multiclass combinations they considered "undesirable", and why. (And what means they used to prevent them from happening.)

D&D 5E Potential Monsters in Quests from the Infinite Staircase Adventures

Could be another reason to update the mudmen for this book...

Huh, missed that. One more for the spreadsheet...

D&D 5E Potential Monsters in Quests from the Infinite Staircase Adventures

It is billed as a WotC product, actually. And it's available under their banner on DriveThruRPG, not merely DM Guild. And interestingly, it is available from Roll20. All makes its absence from DDB kinda weird.

D&D 5E Potential Monsters in Quests from the Infinite Staircase Adventures

Re: The Lost City: Worth noting that Goodman Games' OAR version did provide 5e stats for oil and tiger beetles, wood golems, werefoxes, devil swine, and (surprisingly) giant shrews. That probably ups the odds of an update here (Wizards might even be able to directly reuse them, if they wanted)...

D&D (2024) How excited are you for the new 2024 edition d&d?

1, only enough to give the new Monster Manual a look. What happens next depends on whether it impresses me.

D&D General Original D&D cheat sheets

As requested by @Autumnal, here are the (draft) cheat sheets I assembled for my upcoming Original D&D one-shot. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1efaWRd9oVCX_Aj6TVySIbBGtA41H0Pra Notes: These are based strictly on my understanding (and as needed, extrapolation) of the three books in the...

Disney Buys DC: Who Joins The MCU?

Eh, Captain Marvel gave Thanos trouble, and he trounced the Hulk, I'd think she counts. (Not that I'm objecting to including Wonder Woman in this MCDCU.)

D&D 2E A bunch of 2e PDFs seem to have bumped up in price

Might also be hoping to take advantage of theoretical interest in older-edition material in the 50th anniversary year. Personally, this will just make me unlikely to buy some of the remaining items I haven't yet acquired - mostly ones that were poorly scanned or missing pieces, where it was...

What are you reading in 2024?

Finally finished reading the original D&D boxed set this week. Overall verdict: it's basically a published set of homebrew rules, annoyingly incomplete and disorganized... but you can still see the glimmer of the greatness to come. Plus there are some genuinely interesting things there that...

D&D General The abandoned core monsters of D&D

FYI - just did a major update to the core monster spreadsheet, with the following changes: Added extra "other sources" columns for each edition that had more than one core monster book. For example, you can now see where 2e monsters appeared before being in the Monstrous Manual. As much as I...
