Redoing all classes, subclasses, and many spells is a smaller change then adding 2 subclasses per class and adding a few spells? Especially as we have things like the new monk, the new ranger, the druid with wildshape not acting as a huge pool of HPs?

I'm not sure that I can agree with your assertion.
Tasha's changed how your current characters play.
2024 only impacts new characters.

Redoing encounter math in the DMG. Redoing the MM. That will absolutely impact how characters play. If you disregard the character creation/advancement options of Tasha's, how much of it change play?

Sorry, this is again not something I can believe.

Maybe this was asked in the thread already and I missed it, but... historical question for anyone that was here in 2003 - when 3.5 came out, did it share space with 3.0 threads or was 3.0 separated out?

Same question for original 4e vs. Essentials 4e.

Oh man, trying to jog the old noggin. I don't think they had sub-forums back in the 3/3.5 days. Or anything more than D&D, PBP, Off-Topic etc... I don't recall a essentials forum split, but could be wrong.

Me looking down on the rabble who refuse to call it 5.5E.
