Well, that is a rule I have adapted to ever single campaign I have run. No patron deity, no resurrection. Yet to have a player object to that rule. Most have commented on how they like that it adds flavour to the campaign and a reason for their PCs to follow a deity or deities.

I kind of like the Wall of the Faithless. A good reason as why if you do not have patron deity, no resurrection.

That was some mismanagement by TSR. I was working in a bookstore at the time and any novel from TSR flew off the shelves at least the fantasy ones. The Buck Rogers line just rotted on the bookshelves. A good line of Mystara novels could generated another successful revenue stream. Very sad.

Hasbro does not and will likely never sell off an IP that they own. They have a track record of seating on IP for years.

It will be interesting to see who, if anyone exits from Hasbro/WotC in the next couple of months. Would show how much a power struggle happened inside the company.

Waiting to see which executives and higher exit in the next month or two from Hasbro and Wizards. It could be very telling as to future directions for now.
