Traits
Dark Devotion. The bloated has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
Divine Awareness. The bloated knows if it hears a lie.
Sacred Digestion. As an action, the Bloated can target one creature it can see within 5 feet of it or within its stomach that has 0 hit points and is still alive. The target must succeed on a DC 21 Constitution saving throw against this effect or die. If the target dies, the bloated regains 10 (3d6) hit points.
Share the Painful Feast. While it is grappling a creature, the bloated takes only half the damage dealt to it, and the creature grappled by the bloated takes the other half.
Actions
Multiattack. The bloated makes two attacks with its tongue or communion in flesh attack.
Tongue. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target.
Hit: 19 (3d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 16) if it is a Huge or smaller creature. Until the grapple ends, the bloated can't use its tongue on another target.
Communion in Flesh. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 22 (3d10 + 6) piercing damage, and the target is swallowed if it is a Medium or smaller creature. A swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the bloated, and takes 10 (3d6) acid damage at the start of each of the bloated's turns.
The bloated's stomach can hold up to two creatures at a time. If the Bloated takes 20 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, the Bloated must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, each of which falls prone in a space within 10 feet of the bloated. If the bloated dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 10 feet of movement, exiting prone.
