Ability Scores and Wish

-Eä-

First Post
I am sure this question has come up before, but I will present my idea anyhow...

It is stated that a character may use a maximum of five wishes in a row to gain an inherent boinus of +5 to an ability score. What if one wants to have an inherent bonus of, say 14? I know this is episc, but I don't know whether it will be adressed in the Epic Level Handbook or not, so here is my two suggestions on how to handle this:

1. Standard system on doubling: The first 5 wishes cost 5000 XP per wish, the next 5 cost 7500 XP per wish, the other next cost 10 000 XP per wish, 15 000 for the next five, 20 000 for the ones after that, so 30 000, and so on.
I think this would do well, for if a character is to cast, say 16 wishes in a row he would have to pay: (5*5000+5*7500+5*10 000+1*15 000) XP = 127 500 XP

2. Series: First five wishes cost 5000 XP, the next five cost (5000+6000) XP = 11 000 XP, the ones after that cost (5000+6000+7000) XP = 18 000 XP, and so on...

I don't know which system would be better, but the latter corresponds more to level advancement...if that is wanted.

Note that you can't cast a spell or create an item if the XP loss would cause you to lose levels. Using your rule, a character would have to have 127,500 XP spare to pay for all those wishes. I think it would be easier just to wait for the ELH....
