D&D 5E D&D Beyond: No More À La Carte Purchases But US Customers Can Buy Physical Books

Maybe the reason to remove a la carte is because in September 2024 WotC don't want you to buy just your new class/subclass/spell to rebuild your character, they want you to buy the whole PHB. Just my 2cents...

    Malware from the ads?

No, I'll explain better: your DNS in your system is pointing to the one in your router (because is a 192.168.xxx.xxx address). Then the next step is the one inside your router, and for that you need to enter in configuration page of your router, but you should check in internet the right...

    Malware from the ads?

Then you should see if your router goes to some well know DNS server. Some attackers enter the router and modify it to inject malware on some pages. Rare, but not impossible

    Malware from the ads?

Just to be sure: is your router also clean? Check via "ipconfig /all" command line if the DNS is set to a know address like google one 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

    D&D (2024) What Should D&D 2024 Have Been +

Give the complete new books as a playtest package on beyond on people already owning the old books. Hear suggestions, ironing out blatant errors and typos. Big problems and bad combo would arise in small time. Only then, finalize the books (I will not buy 2024 until some reprints, having a 10th...

D&D 5E So what's the scoop on D&D in PDF Format?

To be honest, I don't think the layout of 5e it's really good for PDF. PDF are good to have a digital copy of the book of the game, Beyond is good to have a copy of the content of those book. 4e had perfect pdf layout, IMHO. And the fact that they were made from the source, no scanning involved...

OSR What's the best introductory BX/OSR scenario for new players and DMs?

Always thinking why B1 or B2 weren't cloned in the OSR. OSE is really a nice beginner friendly ruleset, but is not a beginner friendly game: if one knows the game, great. For an absolute beginner kid or teen wanting to start like in the 1980s, it is not sufficient. You still need videos, help...

D&D (2024) D&D 2024 Core Rulebooks: 'We'll Still Be Working On Them In May'

"Working" as proof reading/getting the first test book from the printing facilities for last time checks and product quality? If the book is not content-closed by June, Christmas release will be a rush job. 0 day errata would be catastrophic for anniversary release

D&D (2024) What are "Multiple recovery periods" in the Foundry D&D TODO list?

Hi! After the announcement of the FoundryVTT official module, I noticed this in the TODO list of the Github code: I don't think it was in the playtest: maybe it is the idea that an interrupterd long rest can be a short one after an hour ingame? Or they are reworking the rest system to fix...

D&D General The Resurrection of Mike Mearls Games.

I really hope that, in the future, a POD book will be make with all those modules and "fixes", maybe with some insight how the game was made (inside the boundaries of what is possible to say considering the legal terms, like you did on the skill checks document). Some suggested to make a 5e...

D&D General Going back to Basic(s). A thought experiment.

The idea is that a basic box like this should really teach how to run the game. Make it a simple dungeon crawler only, give low level players and monsters, lite rules, a couple of example adventures that teach the game, DM and players (more than the starter set, that are "just the adventure and...

WotC Official digital Advent calendar 2023 + Inspiration rules using the Deck of Many Things

Hi all! I received via D&D Beyond the link for this year's digital advent calendar. https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/1620-d-d-adventure-calendar-2023-celebrate-the-holidays First day was useless (a coffee discount code), but the rules (at the bottom of the calendar) for a different way of using...

    Do you incorporate errata?

I've printed a full page of "ERRATA" words on a sheet of paper. I cut one of it, and put in the book between the pages where the errata should be. Then I have the errata PDF page printed and put on the last page of the book.

D&D 5E No One Plays High Level?

I understand your point of view, but experience come from playing the game. I've mastered a couple of campaign, both from level 1. I've learned a lot, if I could re-run some sessions I would have mastered better for sure. But, after some time, with your PCs at eight, nine... one start losing...

D&D 5E No One Plays High Level?

The video was good, and title not too much clickbaity (in a sense, is not those "You are playing the game wrong" or "You will not belive that..."), some good points too. 5e is one of the most popular edition, and the start for many people, including me. As a DMs, there is little guidance for...

D&D 5E Are DMsGuild sequels the way to go for making high-level content?

Recently, the release of Chains of Asmodeus bring a sequel to Descent to Avernus, making it a full campain to 20. How would you see "official" DMsGuild by Wotc sequels to campaign sold like these? Think, a sequel to 20 for Curse of Strahd, Tomb of Annihilation, Storm King's Thunder and so on...
