    D&D General Next Generation VTT

I am sorry to burst some of your dreams but the next-gen VTT is not the one that spends years on a graphical engine and interface. It is the one that has an active community of developers who expand an open platform that can implement new features, new systems, and new quality of life for DM or...

    Paizo Paizo Product Roundup: February

In Europe, all January Paizo products are delayed from January to April in all outlets (Amazon, BookDepository, etc.). It is impossible to get even a release date down.

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2 Homebrew help

Hello, If you want to use GMBinder to make your homebrew documents, you can use this template I've developed. You can see my Homebrew Compendium here. If you want to develop monsters, check the PF2e Monster Maker and share at r/Pathfinder2E or r/Pathfinder2ECreations.

ICv2's Latest Quarterly Chart: D&D Top, But PF2 Is Strong

Paizo had major delays with selling worldwide with Pathfinder 2E. I remember I waited 2 months for my Special Edition Corebook and Bestiary, only arrived in early October via distributors like Blackfire and Asmodee. So I think much of the worldwide sales would be in Q3.

WotC Expect "seven or eight" Dungeons & Dragons games in the near future

I really hope so. Warhammer licensing model has thrown the franchise in so many hands, we were given games that became truly highly acclaimed and selling. The Dawn of War series, Vermintide, Blood Bowl, Total War: Warhammer, etc. They even give the license for old-school niche games like...

    Pathfinder 2E Lore Skill Revisited

This is a fair attempt to bring 5E approach to skill to Lore skills to avoid too specific Lore skills being useless, but it suffers from just increasing the feat overload in the game. Instead of giving the GM some tools to create Lore groups out of specific Lores and work with them. Still, some...

Pathfinder 2E Second Edition Saturday means Egyptian Adventure and more!

Can't wait enough for Aegis of Empires Player's Guide to arrive, and check what this AP is all about. Meanwhile I wish there was more player option support for PF2, it seems there's a massive hole for 3PP content at the moment, with very few publishers joining the new edition.

D&D General Anybody still playing a d20 System game?

How would you compare it to Pulp Cthulhu? Also I am currently the youngest player in a 14-year multi-campaign setting running 3.5e

D&D 5E The Return of Tyranny of Dragons: First Impressions

No offense but this sounds like an excuse to get free review copies and deliver article headers but not actual reviews. :/

D&D 5E The Return of Tyranny of Dragons: First Impressions

Well, this is hardly a review as nothing of the content has been touched, such as how extensive the errata and additions are, which is the main reason to buy this (except the less exciting cover due to cheaper cover finish).

    Best system for historical roleplaying?

GURPS for the extreme simulationism, but there's too much work involved to make it happen. I would suggest GURPS 3rd instead of 4th because the core book feels more historical than generalized powers/scifi mix.

Wendy’s Presents: Feast of Legends (a Late Night Review)

It's good value and actually playable ad. And it is fairly cheap to contract and produce value-tisement compared to KFC's almost-a-million worth of PC visual novel, I love you, Colonel Sanders.

Lone Wolf (Hero Lab) Lays Off Staff

I have been major disappointed with Hero Labs as their customer, so when I see news of their slow demise I am not even remotely surprised. I feel sad for the people who bet their life on working for them, but not for the company. Hero Labs had, for a long time, the hands-down BEST iPad...

D&D General How common are adventurers?

I try to run a "Dynamic World" kind of campaigns where, aside from the actions of the players, I come up and simulate via abstract rolls the political schemes and other adventures that the players are not involved with or do not relate to their current activities until much later (or never)...

D&D 5E Reimagining racial ability scores

I am toying with a concept for a homebrew compendium where I treat Backgrounds as Races, but Races have Racial Feat choices and instead of modifying the stat, you modify the max stats. For example, a Half-Orc's Strength is based on his Background as a Gladiator BUT his Half-Orc race gives him...
