How happy are you with your table/group?

I like my dual Transformer table-to-desk tables ... oh wait, wrong conversation. I'm very satisfied with my current group. We've been playing together for 10 years, first in person and now mostly on-line.

I'm finding it much easier to come up with results for failures than successes. :devilish:

Hi all, I'm running a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4e campaign, but this question isn't really specific to the system. For those who are interested with the system-specific mechanical background read the text in the spoiler tag. For everyone else, I just want some ideas of things that could...

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

Yeah, local anasthesia is freaky. My wife had to have an emergency c-section with my first son. She described being able to feel the tension of her skin being pulled on, especially when they were sewing her back up, but not any pain.

That's annoying. I've seen people do this on airplanes. Like, just go to restroom and do it if you didn't have the foresight to clip your nails before your trip.

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

Not sure, but that would make sense. "Excreting content for You Tube" seems like a very apt turn of phrase. I knew a lawyer who worked in the compliance department at an engineering firm and his boss told him that his "pretentious" language was turning people off. I find it rich that an...

Hey, some of us shake our fists while rolling with it.

D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

I think the "being weird" characterization was in reaction to Elmore's original post where he was calling people crazy. He subsequent edited version was toned down a lot and is quite reasonable.

D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

It this only available through randomized packs? Now that's something I can almost get upset about--I hate the randomized packs approach. But then I remember I'll be able to just buy it on the secondary market if I really want it. Then I remember I don't buy minis any more. Still, if they come...

D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

I think we are basically saying the same thing. The only difference being that I think they put more thought into it than your scenario. But, like you say, it is just conjecture on both our parts.

D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

Fair enough. If the game doesn't capture your interest, or turns you off for any reason, even if over something as minor as a miniature. I mean, I'm still not over dragonborn being core species. But I can flip past those pages and still enjoy the game. I guess I just never understood the how...

Critical Role Critical Role Launches Subscription Streaming and Member Service

Yeah, but Patreon is kind like Kickstarter for me. It is partly for the product and partly to support a creator. But even if I do the subscribe-quite-resubscribe game, I just don't need or use that much content any more. I find it now makes more sense to just buy what I need when I need it...

Agree 100%, but nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I also can't prove the intent of Wizkids, but I feel pretty confident that they did this to generate buzz and they were very successful. I don't get why folks keep saying this is cynical. Maybe there were other characters and artwork to introduce...

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

Not really related to this forum at all, but I had someone tell me that they were annoyed with the phrase "consume content." I found that weird, but then I remember a few years ago when I was talking to a non-IT co-worker about a project where I was processing data and loading it into a...

The "I Didn't Comment in Another Thread" Thread

I had a co-worker who used to brush his teeth at his desk. I don't mean quickly brushing after lunch. The was no tooth paste involved. He would just sit at his desk with his tooth brush in his mouth, occasionally brushing his teeth with it. Like, for hours. Annoyed me at first, but I got used...

Critical Role Critical Role Launches Subscription Streaming and Member Service

The simple has never gone away. You can still get together with a group of friends around the kitchen table with books, pencils, and paper and enjoy playing. Besides, in the simpler times of the Stranger Things 80s, D&D was quite commercial. Further, there are plenty of great indie games...

I like the more humorous ones as well. I would add the first season of "The Glass Canon Podcast". The entire season was great. The early episodes of Dragon Friends were a lot of fun, but that one got old for me. But check out the initial episodes. It is by an improve comedy group from...

Critical Role Critical Role Launches Subscription Streaming and Member Service

I'm guessing the fans like to chat with each other why the show is live. It is basically a massive watch party. Not my thing. I'm not going to schedule my life around a 4-hour live-play show each week. But for many fans, it is a social event as much as it is consuming content.
