D&D 5E (2024) Lorwyn: First Light has been released

Oh yeah, for sure. I'm just saying what works for me, if epub works for you then that's all good.

Who Should Gal Gadot Play In The New DCU?

Momoa was a great Aquaman, I enjoyed both of his movies.

D&D 5E (2024) Lorwyn: First Light has been released

Pretty much as @Reynard said. Like I said, I love epub for novels, but I have one or two books that were about fantasy map making and I found that epub just sucks for usability.

D&D General ENWorld is better that the pundits…change my mind

Yeah, I think the vast majority of players just want to pick a character they like and don't really care about optimising or seeking out synergies with the group, they're there to have fun and if they end up with a party of dwarf fighters and a halfling thief then they'll run with that.

Who Should Gal Gadot Play In The New DCU?

You don't have to look strong, but I think ot works better for wonder woman, a literal warrior woman. Gal was model thin, really didn't suit the look to me.

Who Should Gal Gadot Play In The New DCU?

Probably more to do with them rebooting the DCU, they've already replaced superman and people loved Henry Cavill. I can't think of any roles for her, but then I'm not that knowledgeable about DC comics. I'm glad they're recasting wonder woman, hopefully this time it'll be an actress who...

    Why do we need thieves??

I did briefly remove thieves from my 2e edit, replacing it with a light armoured skirmisher warrior (with the attack and hit dice of warriors), but after creating an expert class based on birthright's guilder, Ive added them back in as a subclass of the expert.

D&D General Gargoyles need to be redone.

This sounds cool, and due to my love of the old gargoyles cartoon, I'd like to see something where they're playable.

D&D 5E (2024) Lorwyn: First Light has been released

I'm the complete opposite, epub is fine for novels but I hate it for rpg books.

TSR On the Relative Merits of the TSR Editions

We've been through so many editions it isn't surprising that some things blur together.

TSR On the Relative Merits of the TSR Editions

I believe the higher page count was due to layout changes, otherwise the core books were the same content (with some small amount of errata). The custom class rules were definitely in the original 2e book, I remember making classes with it back in the 90s.

TSR On the Relative Merits of the TSR Editions

I love the BECMI rules cyclopedia, it's how I first learned how to play DnD and the fact that it's the whole game in one book is awesome (I guess you could say it was missing the immortal rules, but I guess I consider them an add-on rather than a core part of the game). 2e was the second...

D&D 5E (2024) Lorwyn: First Light has been released

Specific overrides general, in this case, the ability does indeed let you take the dash action as your reaction.

D&D General ENWorld is better that the pundits…change my mind

I don't really know what a pundit is, but one reason why I prefer ENworld is that all too often if I'm looking up something that it ends up being people talking about it, as in with a video. I much prefer to read, potentially skimming through an article than having to watch a 20 minute video...

TSR Why would anyone want to play 1e?

You're not wrong, once the xp awards moved from xp for gold, it changed the purpose of adventuring. While you could still dungeon delve to gain treasure, it was no longer the reward it used to be which would have led to a change in the purpose of adventures (which might have been seen at the end...

New Star Trek Movie Coming From D&D Movie Creators

While I mostly agree, I like my trek somewhat serious, I think a lower decks movie would be awesome.

    XP for Non-Combat Tasks

I like it because it scales with level and, even without combat, you can still expect a decent rate of levelling, especially since in the games I ran the players would complete a few minor quests on the way to completing the major quest so they'd level at a decent rate.

    XP for Non-Combat Tasks

What I ended up doing was 5% and 10% of the xp needed to reach the next level, I called them story rewards and awarded the 5% reward for minor stories/side quests completed and 10% for major ones.

    D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

The restrictions have become a little crazy. I asked DALLE4 for pictures of a tank which it easily did then, because I wanted it for a transformers RPG, I asked for it to also do the robot standing behind the tank, with elements of the tank in its form and it came back as restricted content. Did...

    Why do we need thieves??

If you want a thief character from the Conan that's similar to the classic DnD class, look no further than Taurus of Nemedia, Prince of Thieves. He wasn't a major character, rather he just helped the story along. He even had the bad saves of an ADnD thief, dying from a little spider bite, shame.
