Spoilers Stranger Things Season 5 - SPOILERS

I dunno. One must also consider the symbolism of that scene. Barb represents Nancy's innocence, and Barb dying in the pool is a symbol of Nancy's loss of innocence. I'm sure you could retcon it and say Vecna tried with Barb first, but the way it's shown on screen doesn't really fit with that...

Spoilers Stranger Things Season 5 - SPOILERS

The Satanic Panic stuff was really more in Season 4 with Jason. He even goes on a rant about how he’s read that D&D can make you lose touch with reality, etc. He claims Eddie’s lost himself in the game and is killing people as a result. The stuff with Dustin and Andy is more just typical jock...

Spoilers Stranger Things Season 5 - SPOILERS

This interview with the Duffer bros confirms that opening sequence with young Will in the Upside Down was a CGI face swap. Apparently Weta Workshop here in NZ did it! https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/stranger-things-5-explained-will-powers-return-of-eight-vecna-plan-1236592989/

Trailer The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

Man, I totally misread the release date. Thought it was now. Not a year from now. Ah well. I've now read the book at least!

Spoilers Stranger Things Season 5 - SPOILERS

I thought young Will Byers looked completely CGI. I guess they had to have an actual person and just CGIed his face to look more like young Noah Schnapp's. As an aside, I was born in late March 1981. Holly's fictional birthday is early October 1980, so she's about 6 months older than me. It's...

D&D 5E (2024) What's New with the Artificer in Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

I've got Exploring Eberron, but I've never looked closely at the subclasses because I'd read they weren't well balanced. I guess I'll have to take another look.

D&D 5E (2024) So the Armorer still need be Wearing before Don his armor.

The 5e book with the most errors (typos, etc) that I've seen is actually Eberron: Rising from the Last War. That one is riddled with them.

D&D 5E (2024) So the Armorer still need be Wearing before Don his armor.

Reminds me of how the 3.5e Expanded Psionics Handbook had the Déjà vu power written out in full twice (on purpose).

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I did. Turkey, and corn muffins, and yummy veges. (I live in the future, so I’ve already celebrated.)

D&D 5E (2024) What's New with the Artificer in Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

Yes. Exactly! I’m cool with the familiar-like homunculus, either as an infusion or a spell. It’s optional. You don’t have to have one. A pet-less Battle Smith would fall into the same category as a spell-less ranger. It requires new mechanics to replace the pet.

D&D 5E (2024) What's New with the Artificer in Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

Don’t get me wrong! I love pets in real life. I have two cats I adore. I just don’t like pets in D&D, and I don’t like it when they’re baked into the class mechanics. Something like the beast master ranger makes sense - it’s in the very name! (And I get why such classes exist - because some...

D&D 5E (2024) What's New with the Artificer in Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

I like the idea of the Battle Smith, but I don’t like pets. I wish you could have the pet be optional.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I just want to state, for the record, that I don't believe there is anything controversial about my avatar. Pukunui is a chubby Māori boy whose name means "big belly". He is the protagonist in a series of classic New Zealand children's books, in which he goes on various adventures in...

D&D 5E (2024) Eberron: Fated Flight of the Recluse *possible spoilers*

Th elemental galleon has a speed of 10 mph. I must have been tired and misread the chart.

D&D 5E (2024) Eberron: Fated Flight of the Recluse *possible spoilers*

I think it’s a typo. We’ll see if it gets corrected at some point. I still suspect they used AI to generate some of the text of this adventure, so maybe it’s the culprit for the 65 days too.

D&D 5E (2024) What's New with the Artificer in Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

Yeah, and that feature has been nerfed down to one extra plan that must be armor-related instead of the 2024 version which gave you two extra infusions and let you count each part of your armor separately (body, head, boots, gauntlets). I think it’s a deliberate change that implies you can’t...
